ICE CREAM DESSERT | |
Approximately 36 Hydrox cookies, crushed
1/2 c. butter, melted 1 qt. each of 2 different kinds of ice cream (we like Peppermint Bon Bon and Butter Brickle) Hot fudge chocolate topping Cool Whip (small container) 2 Heath bars Chopped nuts, optional
Combine Hydrox cookies and butter. Press 1/2 to 3/4 of mixture in buttered 9 x 13 pan. Soften 1 quart of ice cream any flavor and spread on cookie crust and freeze. Spread on a thin layer of Hot Fudge topping, freeze. Soften 1 quart second flavor of ice cream, spread on top of fudge, freeze. Spread Cool Whip on last layer of ice cream. Crush 2 Heath bars, mix with remaining cookie crumbs and nuts if using. Spread mixture on top of dessert. Freeze. This takes several hours to assemble because you need to freeze each layer before adding the next layer.
